Bookshop Santa Cruz is hosting Sonora Reyes who writes fiction celebrating queer and Mexican stories in a variety of genres, with current projects in both kidlit and adult categories. They will be talking about their current book, “The Broposal” about Kenny and Han and their marriage proposal which may help Han’s looming anxiety about being undocumented in an increasingly hostile environment. Sonora previously wrote the book “A Lesbiana’s Guide to Catholic School,” a young adult novel. Event is free but please register in advance.
