Santa Cruz -- This is a transition year for Pride as it re-establishes itself as a self-sustaining entity that is financially and organizationally independent from the Diversity Center of Santa Cruz County after operating as a direct project of that organization for much of the last decade. One of the first publicly visible steps in this transition is a beautiful new website, designed by local volunteer Mike Tossy, and incorporating images from recent Pride events.

The new site is designed to be more visually appealing and easy to navigate, with separate sections devoted to the parade, festival, honorees, and sponsors, as well as a dedicated “Help Pride” page, and a “News” page with regular updates that will make it a one-stop shop for easy access to information about the parade, festival, vendors, and local merchants that support Santa Cruz Pride on your computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone.

The site will also serve as a resource for information on Pride and year round, and will eventually feature photo galleries and other historical information (this is the 41st year the annual festival and march/rally has been held). In support of this, the Santa Cruz Pride organizing committee is researching the history of Pride in Santa Cruz, and welcomes donations of materials and other items of historical import for display on the web site, and incorporation into the Pride collection at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History.

The site can be reached with the existing URL:
