SC Pride Celebrates Passage of AB 1955
SC Pride commends Governor Newsom and the California State Legislature for signing AB 1955 into law on July 15. We also commend our State Senator John Laird and Assembly members Gail Pellerin and Dawn Addis for their support of this bill. This law protects LGBTQ+ students in our schools, and creates a safer and more inclusive environment in all schools. No student should be outed by anyone to anyone else. Coming out is a personal decision that should be decided by each individual at any age.
