Affirming the county as a sanctuary for transgender and nonbinary people

We commend, affirm and celebrate the Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors for adopting resolution 152-2025 that unanimously passed on June 4, 2024. We thank Supervisor Justin Cummings for developing and presenting this important resolution. This resolution declared that “Santa Cruz County is a Sanctuary County for Transgender, Gender Queer, Non-Binary, Gender Fluid, Gender Non-Conforming, and Intersex People” and states that Santa Cruz County is “a place of safety for transgender, gender queer, nonbinary, gender fluid, gender non-conforming, and intersex people.” Here is the link to the resolution.
